Lead with Shared Values: connect with and motivate audiences by opening messages with values, and name explicitly how they’re shared across race, class, and gender. Start by creating a big us!
Name the opponent and expose their motivations: Naming a clear opponent and their opposing motivations to your own can help to define your own motivations as well as compell voters to understand what is at stake!
Close with a Positive Vision for the Future: Close with a vision for a better future and a call to action for how we can achieve it. A positive vision and a call to action are critical, if possible, reference other victories to demonstrate how you have used collective action as a powerful tool to solve problems.
